BALLOT INITIATIVES: DIRECT DEMOCRACY FOR CITIZENS
Colorado voters could face as many as eleven measures on the November 2020 ballot. Eight ballot measures have already qualified The issues vary from a referendum on the legislative-passed National Popular Vote (NPV), a 22-week abortion ban, and a decision to introduce the Gray Wolf back to public lands.
Join us for our September 15th luncheon to hear Kathleen Chandler from the Independence Institute who will educate us on all the ballot issues.
Kathleen is the foundations and coalitions manager for the Independence Institute’s Local Government Project. She is also a political consultant and professional volunteer for conservative issues and candidates. She has a degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and has been involved in politics since she was 18 years old. She is a 4th generation Colorado native and has lived in the Denver area since 1993. She is married with two sons, two cats and a dog.
Please note this meeting is outdoors under a covered pavilion. There are picnic tables under the pavilion, as well as room for individual chairs, if you would like to bring your own. There is parking directly adjacent to the pavilion, for anyone who needs it. We will be serving an assortment of box lunches. We encourage social distancing and will provide hand sanitizer. There are also 2 private bathrooms.
